Our Tee Time is Thursdays, 3:12 - 3:44 pm at Souhegan Woods Golf Course.
Check with the starter to confirm we are playing the 9 shown on our schedule.
If the course is open - we play (Re: Weather Conditions). Pro shop determines special or "Winter Rules".
You may Roll the Ball Over In Your Own Fairway Only!
Seniors (65+) may play from the Senior (Gold) tees if they choose. You must play from the same tee all year.
For the enjoyment of everyone, please observe and follow the 2019 USGA "Rules of Golf", proper etiquette, timely play (keep up with the group in front of you), and most of all - have fun!
If your group has fallen behind the group in front of you, and you have lost the hole, pick up your ball and move to the next hole - QUICKLY.
Tee Starting Order: When BOTH players of a match arrive on the tee, they may place their marked balls in the starting line, at the white tee marker, to establish their place in line.
Adjacent twosomes will join up to make foursomes. If you are a single, you should try to match up with another single before getting in line and joining a twosome.
If you are waiting for your opponent and the Tee is open, you should start without them, to help stay within our tee time.
The maximum score allowed on each hole is 4 over par. Once you reach this score on a hole, pick up your ball and move to the next hole - QUICKLY.
Match Play, with handicaps. The Match Up/Handicap Sheet will be posted on the web site each week and at the scorebox.
Please try to contact your opponent in advance each week to confirm your match and schedule.
If you do not play a Round, you will not get any points
If you play your round and your opponent does not play:
You automatically receive one point.
You play a match against 150% of your handicap to earn the second point
A Match (with both players) may be played prior to schedule, provided the scorecard gets in the score box on Thursday.
If you do not play your match with your opponent, you must play with the league on Thursday and your scorecard must be attested by a league member.
Match Play: Low Net Score wins the hole. Most holes won wins the match.
2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie.
Higher handicap player receives the number of strokes equal to the difference between the two handicaps.
Strokes are to be taken on holes in order of handicap ranking on the scorecard for your tee.
If a rules dispute arises, that cannot be settled with your rule book, play out the match, and check with the Pro Shop or the AAGL Marshal for a ruling before turning in your scorecard.
Birdies and Eagles are tracked, please circle them on your scorecard.
The two highest scoring teams at the end of the Regular Season will play one Final Match to determine the League Champion.
